CSN PRECISION ENGINEERING is the UK's largest independent MANUFACTURER OF SPECIAL TOOLS TO HOLD CARBIDE, CERAMIC AND PCD INDEXABLE INSERTS.
The company has a reputation for integrity and producing high quality products. CSN produces 'CUSTOM TOOLING' or 'SPECIAL SOLUTION TOOLS' and can manufacture on a 'MAKE TO PRINT', 'REVERSE ENGINEERING' or 'DESIGN AND MANUFACTURE' basis.
Established in 1985 by the current owners, CSN has primarily provided a SUB-CONTRACT MANUFACTURING SERVICE to many of the world's internationally renowned cutting tool suppliers. For such customers, CSN provides a 'BOLT ON' production facility which not only offers a manufacturing source but also provides technical expertise to assist engineers in the design process.
Additionally the company provides technical solutions and produces tools as a 2nd TIER SUPPLIER to major 'blue chip' companies engaged in the AUTOMOTIVE, AEROSPACE, OIL & GAS EXPLORATION and GENERAL METAL CUTTING industries.
The diverse capability of the company facilitates the undertaking of an extensive variety of special tools and associated products for a multitude of applications. They include TURNING, BORING, DRILLING, THREADING, GROOVING, PARTING, BROACHING, TURN BROACHING, BAR PEELING, SCARFING & MILLING. The services provided ranges from the manufacture of a SINGLE LOW COST INDIVIDUAL TOOL to a complete MULTI-TOOL TURNKEY PROJECT. Tools can vary from a simple MODIFICATION OF A SINGLE INSERT STANDARD TOOL to an extremely COMPLICATED MULTI-INSERT TOOL. The company has the skill and expertise to manufacture a wide range of ASSOCIATED PRODUCTS including SPINDLES, LINE BORING BARS, FEED-OUT TOOLS, FIXTURES, ARBORS AND ADAPTORS.
CSN also engage in the more general disciplines of manufacture & machining. They include the manufacture of jigs, fixtures, parts for production lines & machine refurbishment. They also produce production parts that fall within their machine capacity & undertake general machining operations of CNC TURNING, MANUAL TURNING, 3 AXIS, 4 AXIS & 5 AXIS CNC MILLING, MANUAL MILLING, SURFACE GRINDING, EXTERNAL CYLINDRICAL GRINDING, INTERAL GRINDING, EDM SPARK ERODING, WIRE ERODING, TOOL BALANCING & BLACK OXIDE FINISHING.
